Finland is probably the only country with a proper name used also as a transitive verb. “Findlandize” means to intimidate into submission, as the USSR did to the willing Finns. This might explain Plonker’s state of mind.

Then again, the Finns consume oceans of liquor. Maybe Plonk banged his head on the ice last summer, or realized he hasn’t a chance of leaving Finland. Whatever. In any case, they should keep an eye on him.
